Applying for acceptance as a doctoral researcher
The application comprises the following documents:
- Description of the planned research project comprising:
- Precise description of topic
- Problem, theories or hypotheses
- Outline of the topic of research
- Description of the planned research methodology
- List of the material to be studied
- Sources to be used (literature, archive material, plans, etc.)
- Schedule (incl. financing plan, if applicable)
- Outline of expected outcome or results
- Two-page summary of the doctoral research project
- Other documents:
- Agreement on doctoral studies (www.uni-stuttgart.de/pruefungsamt/promotion/index.html), completed by applicant and supervisor
- certified copy of your degree certificate (degree/diploma/masters)
- Resumé
- Application for a position as doctoral researcher, completed and signed
- If available: copy of employment contract with University of Stuttgart
